Week 1 Term 2
I am really excited to get back to school although, the holidays were fantastic. On Monday we were straight back to work we started working on editing our piece of writing that we wrote at the end of last term. My writing is alright considering that we haven't properly edited it yet. Another exciting thing that happened on Monday was Mrs Crowe told us that we have science fair coming up this term in week nine, so last night I gave it some thought and I came up with a few ideas. On Tuesday we had tech art (science) the task we had to complete was changing green salt water to fresh drinkable water we were given two flasks, one tube, two hot mits, two buns/corks, a hot plate and 100 mils of water we completed the task by putting the two bungs into the flasks then we put one flask onto the hot plate and the other onto the bench the flask on the hot plate was then filled with the water next we connected the two tubes between flasks and left the water to boil. The water was able to be transferred from one flask to the other because water boils at a lower temperature than salt does therefor turning the water into a steam and going down the tube to the other flask. Because the other flask was off the heat the steam turned back into water. I didn't actually taste it but apparently it tasted like water just a bit rubbery. Somewhere in the whole process me and my partner managed to melt our tube, but luckily for us our teacher is really nice and she said that it was fine and that she would just chop it shorter. At the end of the session the science teacher talked about science fair, and I also asked her some questions about topics and at this point in time I am thinking that I am going to have the question how does the colour of water affect the evaporation speed caused by the sun's heat. On Tuesday a man named Mike King came and spoke to us at the start of his speech he told us about how he used to be a stand up comedian and he also told us some jokes that were hilarious then he started to talk about depression and he pretty much told us his life story it was really interesting, and some of the time funny like when he made his jokes.I left school after morning tea but in the time that I was there we did maths I have finished all of the work that I can do until tomorrow which is good. We also have lots of exciting things to look forward to this week such as tomorrow we have extension art, and on Friday we have Belmont trials. Belmont is a school in Auckland that we do a sport exchange with half of the teams stay at our school and they come down and the other half goes up and it rotates each year. Last year in went to their school as a exchange student to play netball, but this year netball is staying down, so I am trialing for mixed volleyball because it is traveling up there. So I am really looking forward to the rest of the week. but luckily for us our teacher is really nice and she said that it was fine and that she would just chop it shorter.

Well done for getting in early with your post. I'd really like to see you go back and fully it it so that it is easier to read! You have lots of run on sentences which are overly long sentences and they need to be separated. You also have a couple of phrases at the end that are repeated from elsewhere in your blog!
